The special thing about this recipe for veggie burger is that you are not going to feel that chewiness like meat but you will get amazed by finding crispy flavor in a delicious veggie burger.

As we know, any veggie burger cannot be complete without some special sweet-spicy sauce. Due to this, in the recipe for veggie burger, I have also included mayonnaise dressing.

Ingredients needed for the recipe for veggie burger

For Patties

  • 4 potatoes (medium to large)
  • 1 carrot (medium to large)
  • 8 to 9 grams French beans
  • ½ cup peas 
  • ½ cup finely chopped onions
  • 1 teaspoon chopped green chillies  
  • 1 teaspoon chopped garlic 
  • 2 teaspoons chopped ginger 
  • ½ teaspoon cumin powder 
  • ½ teaspoon red chilli powder 
  • ½ teaspoon Garam Masala Powder
  • ⅛ teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 6 to 8 tablespoons bread crumbs or (add as required)
  • salt as per taste
  • 4 to 6 tablespoons oil

For Batter

  • 2 1/2 tablespoons maize flour 
  • 2 1/2  tablespoons rice flour 
  • 2 1/2  tablespoons gram flour (besan)
  • ½ cup water

For Breading

  • ½ cup bread crumbs or crushed oats

For Burger Toppings

  • 1 thinly sliced tomato 
  • 1 small to medium cucumber 
  • 1 thinly sliced onion 
  • 1 tablespoon butter or oil for toasting buns
  • 4 whole wheat multigrain burger buns 

For Mayo Dressing (Veggie burger sauce)

  • 2 tablespoon Vegan Eggless Mayonnaise 
  • ½ teaspoon crushed mustard seeds 
  • ½ teaspoon crushed black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon sugar 
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ tablespoon lemon juice 
  • ½ teaspoon apple cider vinegar

Preparing veggie burger’s bread crumb

  1. Add 5 to 6 pieces of bread to the mixer jar and grind it. You can also use any type of bread white bread, brown bread, multigrain bread and whole wheat bread.
  2. Grind till semi-final consistency and do not make its powder. Here, the breadcrumb is going to be bind vegetable parties.

  1. Now, peel and chop carrot and potatoes in small pieces. Chop beans too in small pieces.
  2. Add all veggies in Pan and add water just to cover vegetables.
  3. Now, cook veggies in low medium flame till veggies are fork-tender.
  4. Filter water from vegetables. There should be no water in vegetables.
  5. Now, feel tomatoes and mesh all vegetables by vegetable masher.
  6. Now, mix all veggies and set them aside.
  7. Slice 1 medium-sized onion thinly and crush 3 to 4 garlic cloves, 1 teaspoon ginger paste, 1 teaspoon chopped green chilli.

Making veggie burger patty recipe mixture

  1. Add 1 teaspoon oil to a pan and heat it.
  2. Add the Green Chili paste, ginger paste and garlic paste to the pan.
  3. Saute till the aroma of garlic and ginger paste goes away.
  4. Add the thinly sliced onion to the pan and saute till the onion turn light brown.
  5. Add 1/2 teaspoon garam masala powder, 1/2 teaspoon cumin powder, 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder, 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder.
  6. Stair properly and mix all spices with the onion mixture.
  7. At this only and mixture in mashed veggies.
  8. Add salt and bread crumbs and mix it very well.
  9. Start making veggie patties like aloo cutlet but of the size of your burger bun. Cover all the veggie parties and set them aside.

  1. Mix all types of flour given ingredients, i.e., 1 1/2 tablespoon Maize flour, 1/2 tablespoon rice flour and 2 tablespoon gram flour with 1/2 cup water in the large bowl.

  1. To fry veggie parties hi to 2-3 tablespoon oil in pen.
  2. Coat veggie parties in better and dip veggie parties in the breadcrumb.
  3. Repeat this process twice or thrice to make veggie parties crispier.

  1. Place this coated veggie party in medium hot oil.
  2. Flip veggie parties from time to time.
  3. After frying it, take it out on tissue paper to drain it.

  1. To toss burger bun cut it in two equal halves.
  2. For the Vegan option, you can use oil instead of butter.
  3. Spread some butter on a burger bun and toast it on the pan.

  1. Add 2 teaspoon eggless vegan mayonnaise in a small bowl.
  2. Add 1/2 teaspoon crushed mustard seed; 1/2 teaspoon crushed black paper, 1/4 teaspoon sugar, 1/4 teaspoon salt in a bowl.
  3. Mix all very well.
  4. Now add 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice and 1/2 teaspoon Apple Vinegar in the small mixing bowl and mix it properly.

  1. Spread the mayonnaise dressing on the burger buns.
  2. Place the vegetable parties on the spiced mayonnaise dressing.
  3. Place the sliced veggies on vegetable parties such as tomato slice, onion slice, and cucumber slice.
  4. Spread some mayonnaise dressing on the second half.
  5. Top up the second half of the burger bun with some lettuces.
  6. Place the burger bun on top of each other and your recipe for veggie burger is ready.

Notes

You can serve this burger in snacks but if you want to enjoy it. So, serve it with French fries potato chips.
