How to Make Gulab Jamun with Khoya (step by step)
Gulab Jamun is famous and delicious sweets in India. Most of all make Homemade Gulab Jamun with powdered milk, but I have used homemade Mawa in my recipe. In addition Khoya/Mawa is very simple to make at home. If you want make Mawa at your home.
Gulab Jamun Ingredient
- 5-6 tablespoon Maida
- 200 gram Sugar
- 8-9 almond
- 8-9 Pistachio
- 1 inch Baking powder
- 2-3 Cardamom
- 200 gram Ghee for frying
- 250 gram dried milk
Gulab Jamun Step By Step
First of all, we mash the mawa very well. We keep mixing plain flour in between. You can mix mawa in mixer or crush by hand from 8 to 9 minutes.
Now to check whether the mawa is well mixed? make a small ball and press by check, it should not be broken anywhere. This means that our gulab jamun dough is ready.
Now we prepare sugar syrup. To make sugar syrup we add 1.5 cups of water and sugar. Keep stirring it so that it does not stick to the bottom.
To add flavor to it, we add some cardamom to the sugar syrup. We should check sugar syrup time to time. Meanwhile, we will make ball.
To fry the balls, we add ghee in the pan. And we pour ball in ghee to fry in pan.
Similarly, pour all ball in fry pan and cook for 20 minutes.
Take out all the Gulab jamun balls from the filter and put it in the sugar syrup, we keep it for 4-5 hours to absorb sugar syrup inside it.
